Senior Apartments

The term “Senior Apartments” is used for age restricted apartments that cater to adults over 55 years and older or 62 years and older depending on the property.  They usually are priced below regular apartments and do not have any children or young adults in the community.  Some of the senior apartments will accept HUD vouchers or have fixed pricing that is helpful to a senior on a fixed income.  These type of properties usually offer an annual lease program.


Senior Apartments are:


  • Studio, 1 and 2 bedrooms

  • Pet Friendly

  • Partial to Fully Equipped Kitchens

  • Activity Programs on and off site

  • Age Restricted 55 and older or 62 and older depending on property

  • Some senior apartments have special features for mobility and sensory impaired persons.

  • Some senior apartments have income restrictions that are controlled by the California Tax Credit Allocation. Others may accept HUD and Section 8

  • Amenities and programs vary depending on location and owner

Cost:  Dependent on location and Management Company.  From  $650 - $2000 a month

Average: is $1200 a month
